Hacienda La Amistad is a third-generation, family-run estate in the highlands of Coto Brus, where a deep commitment to restoration and harmony with the surrounding forests guides every part of life and work. Since shifting to an ecological model in the 1980s, the family has focused on organic farming, biodiversity, and stewardship of the land—values that continue to shape both their crops and their community.
That care is reflected in the quality of their coffee. Grown organically at high altitudes and graded Strictly Hard Bean (SHB), the beans develop dense, complex flavors. With meticulous European Preparation and careful washed, honey, and natural processing—where whole cherries are dried to bring out bold, fruity notes—Hacienda La Amistad produces some of the finest organic coffees in Central America, true to both the region and its rich family heritage.
